While scrolling through my twitter recently, I came across @DBDTB. I gathered she was a young girl who was raising awareness for bullying, one thing I really hate.. so for me it was amazing to see how many people were inspired by such a young girl.

As soon as I found about about what Amy done, I immediately wanted to wish her the best of luck but as I was so inspired by her, I wanted to write about her on my blog and show how she raises awareness.

Bullying is something that has happened for a long time but as things like Twitter/Facebook/Instagram get more and more popular, the bullying gets worse.

I decided to get in touch with Amy and find out what made her start her own campaign to raise awareness.

Amy is a 15 year old girl, who was bullied herself. She experienced all sorts of bullying, via the internet and even physical. It was horrific. She felt like she was alone and had no one to talk to. She even considered suicide. She felt weak and worthless, like there was nothing she could do. She tried explaining to her teachers what was happening and no-one seemed to care. One day, she felt a lot stronger than she realised, she could do it alone. She finally gained confidence, a smile and her personality and that is the reason she set up DBDTB. She couldn’t bare the thought of watching it happening to others! Amy wants to make a difference, by using her story and her past experiences, she can help others going through the same thing. So far she has achieved a lot but yet still has a long way to go.

The champaign was set up on 21st January 2013. She wanted to raise awareness and show people how it can affect someone. Whenever Amy see’s someone upset, she tries to do all she can to help. All of Amy’s work is mainly online via Twitter, Facebook, Instgram, Blog Spot and YouTube. She is always looking for opportunities to help people.

“My aim is to make sure no one has to feel alone or suicidal, the way that I did!”

Whilst speaking to Amy, she told me, My overall aim is to get as many people involved as possible, I want to make sure no one has to feel alone or suicidal, the way that I did. I want to help people express themselves without the fear of being judged. I survived bullying, so I hope we can all work together and put a stop to it altogether!

“It’s amazing, people tell me that I was the one who saved their life and that I am an inspiration and their role model.  And on top of that, I am being nominated for awards because of my campaign, its crazy!”

Amy has met various celebrities who have wanted to help raise awareness for her campaign. The likes of, Sam Smith, Peter Andre, Kym Marsh, Lucy Meck, Sam and Billie Faiers and so on!

It is really amazing to know there are people like Amy around, someone who wants to help others and wants to give her advice to others. It’s nice to know if you ever need to talk to someone, Amy is there to lend a helping hand.

I am honoured to have been able to speak to Amy and find out all about her campaign, I will continue to support her and I hope we can all work together and put a stop to bullying!

Amy’s “DBDTB” blog is below, make sure you have a read. You can see in full detail how Amy has had a massive impact on others!

I haven’t posted any #OOTD’s so far, so I thought today I would share my outfit with you.

I wore a pale pink peplum top, white jeans with white jellies and then a beige colour bag to the cinema.

My bag is my personal favourite, I got it as an 18th birthday present and I have not used any of my other bags since!

Top and Jeans: River Island  – Jellies (not shown in the picture): Linzi – Bag: Ted Baker

I have finally turned 18!! It was a long wait but it was made worth while with a night out in Puerto Banus. I had dinner first at The Hard Rock Cafe and then went to the Astral Cocktail Bar for huge, delicious and reasonably priced cocktails. Then went onto Sinattras and Seven.

On my night out I wore a bright pink two piece from Missguided and some Linzi shoes, which were comfy enough to dance all night!!

This is the desert I got for my birthday.  It was huge and delicious.  Everyone in the Hard Rock Cafe sang happy birthday!  I was a little embarrassed but I’ll only be 18 once!

As I write this, I am on the plane, flying home after a fantastic six weeks in beautiful, sunny Spain! I have had an amazing time with our friends and family who came to stay with us.   I have visited lots of new places, one being the best experience I have ever had. I visited a zoo in Soto Grande. I got to stroke a baby tiger, it has always been something I have wanted to do since I was little and it was amazing to have a dream come true. The tiger was called Sacha and she was absolutely beautiful. I also got to hold a snake, a bird of prey, a honey bear and get up close and personal with some bats! It was a day full of experiences which I have always dreamed about. The Zoo, “De Castellar” is not your typical zoo. It was started as a private rescue sanctuary back in 1998 and was finally opened to the public in 2002.  For years it remained relatively unknown. Word of mouth ensuring its survival.  All of the animals have been rescued by the customs or police. Some were also rescued from circuses. From its most famous resident ‘Princessa,’ a four month old Bengali Tiger to emus, Vietnamese pot bellied pigs, monkeys, all kinds of birds, a hyena, rabbits, even domestic chickens, the zoo has a wide diversity of animals. Over 500 to be exact, from 120 different species. The zoo is very different to your average zoo.  When you visit, you are encouraged to feed and pet the animals.  There are not many places where you can stroke  and play with a tiger, cuddle up to a honey bear and feed the lemurs by hand? This is their website (in English) www.zoodecastellar.es/english. If you are ever in that area, it is definitely worth a visit!!This was when I met Sacha the tiger.  When we first arrived she was sleeping, I still cannot believe I got this close to a baby tiger!!!

I had my nails done this week.  I went for something different that I wouldn’t normally go for, two completely different colours.  Bright pink and a pastel blue.  They are both pretty colours for summer so I decided to put them together!  I added a bit of a silver shimmer for a bit of added glamour.

As I am spending the summer in Spain, I love to visit my favourite salon IHB in Estepona, which is just outside of Marbella.

Here is the link to the IHB Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/ihb.estepona

If you are ever on the Costa del Sol, make sure you pay them a visit!
